Stigma & Cognition New York, INC. is a unique non-profit organization that seeks to promote cultural exchange between Korean and American artists, with extra emphasis in typographic art.
They commission Korean and American artists to create typographic art pieces that are based on common expressions the two countries share. Each expression will be presented in two different versions, an English version created by an American artist and a Korean version created by a Korean artist. The two pieces will then be displayed in pairs to create a visual juxtaposition.
The expression that I have developed is: TGIF and I've worked two versions. This option is a tribute version of the work of Roy Lichtenstein with the objective of locate the work (American art) and find a powerful image to potentiate expression.
